The Divorce of Hulk Hogan and Wife Linda Stalled Over a Multi-Million Dollar Penthouse
Staff Writer, Sep 11, 2008
Famous wrestler, Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan and his wife, Linda, have come across another obstacle in their pursuit for separation. After 24 years of marriage, Linda filed for divorce in November 2007 and the couple has been trying to work out their divorce terms ever since. Linda pursued the divorce after the wrestler was caught having an affair with another woman. The woman, Christiana Plante, was Hogan’s daughter, Brookes’ assistant and best friend. Both Hogan and Christiana admitted to having the affair.
The hearing is supposed to take place in a Clearwater, Florida court. The proceedings have been delayed due to a dispute over a multimillion-dollar condo at The Palm Place in Las Vegas. Hogan claims that Linda is demanding too much for the settlement. Linda on the other hand believes that Hogan has set up corporations in order to hide money.
Hogan also accuses Linda of wanting the multi-million dollar penthouse as a party place for her and her 19-year-old boyfriend.
The Hogan or Bollea family starred in a VH1 reality show entitled, “Hogan Knows Best.” The show premiered in 2005 and portrayed the family in day-to-day life. The title is a play-on-word that refers to the 1950s show, “Father Knows Best.” Clearly, Hulk Hogan and Jim Anderson (Robert Young) are not contemporaries. Linda and Hogan were already showing the stresses of marital problems on the last season of the show. The network is continuing the show through a spinoff show entitled, “Brooke Knows Best."
Marriage is something people commit to with the intention of sharing a life for better or worse. However, that does not mean it will always work out. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, almost half of all marriages in the U.S. end in divorce. If your marriage is not working out or if the relationship you have with your spouse is not what you intended, you should speak to a divorce lawyer with experience that will work for your benefit.
