Basketball Contract

A basketball contract is a legal document signed by a basketball player who has been hired to play for a specific basketball team. A basketball contract details the terms and conditions that both the individual player and the team who has contracted him must adhere to. The amount of time a player is contracted to play for the team as well as the salary he shall receive are included in a basketball contract. Information related to monetary bonuses are also often included; a player who performs well may be eligible for a higher payment. Signing bonuses are also common; a signing bonus is an upfront monetary payment made to a player when he signs a basketball contract. Sports agents regularly negotiate basketball contracts for players in exchange for an often hefty monetary fee. Special clauses and perks are also common in a basketball contract. Rules regarding conduct and player behavior may also be included in a basketball contract.
