Baseball Coach Contract

A baseball coach contract is used for college and professional baseball, both minor and major league. The contract of a baseball coach may be extended or renewed if the coach is successful, and a higher salary may be negotiated for exceptional performance. Similarly, a baseball coach contract may not be renewed of the coach does not deliver enough victories for a team and otherwise performs poorly. Unlike professional baseball players, who make millions of dollars a year to play the game, baseball coaches make much less money. In some cases, former baseball players may go on to become coaches after they retire from the sport. Those physically unable to continue playing the game who still wish to be part of the game may switch careers and become coaches. This comes with a large pay cut and less perks, though the love of the game is often more important than monetary compensation.
